Same Sky AMT20 Absolute Capacitive Modular Encoders
Same Sky AMT20 High Accuracy Absolute Modular Encoders output 12 bits of absolute position information with serial peripheral interface (SPI) communication. These rugged AMT20 modules feature an innovative capacitive platform and resist contaminants such as dirt, dust, and oil. The encoder design simplifies the assembly process, reducing mounting and alignment time with the One Touch Zero™ feature. Zero position is set through the SPI interface rather than through mechanical positioning. Additional features include an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, high accuracy, a compact package, and low current draw. Applications for Same Sky AMT20 High Accuracy Absolute Modular Encoders include industrial, automation, robotics, and renewable energy applications.
The AMT20-V kits include nine sleeve options ranging from 2mm to 8mm, two simple mounting tools, and one standard baseplate with multiple pre-drilled mounting hole patterns designed to mate with a broad range of motors. Same Sky has extended the kit range to include a locking connector option for extra safety.
