Digi XBee3™ Zigbee RF Module

Digi XBee3™ Zigbee RF Modules provide a small smart IoT End-node for applications that need to acquire and process data at the end device and send only actionable data upstream in the network. Digi XBee3 modules are fully integrated, certified, and ready to connect to wireless mesh networks. The XBee3 micro form factor is 1/3 the size of the current Digi XBee SMT and ideal for providing RF connectivity for short range and LPWAN applications. The XBee3 can be used for applications that require small, efficient designs and need control logic at the endpoint to eliminate separate microcontrollers.

The modules offer flexibility to mesh networking enabling a higher level of abstraction without worrying about the mundane chip-level minutia. Digi XBee modules require little to no configuration or additional development. The wireless software is isolated so that applications can be developed with no risk to RF performance or security. With XBee's trusted software, the focus can be on value-added features and speed to market in applications where manufacturing efficiencies are critical.

The release of the Digi XBee3 allows hardware to be compatible with multiple protocols, including Zigbee, Thread, 802.15.4, DigiMesh, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, all available on a single hardware platform. The devices are available in 3 form factors; micro, through-hole, and surface mount.
