These low-cost, easy-to-use Development Boards and Evaluation Kits are ideal for demonstrating the features and capabilities of the SAM MCUs. Many of the Kits, such as the Xplained Pro Kits, can be customized with a wide range of expansion boards.
Microchip Technology 32-Bit SAM MCU Development Boards and Evaluation Kits are supported by the MPLAB® X Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The MPLAB X IDE is an expandable, highly configurable software program that incorporates powerful tools to enable designers to discover, configure, develop, debug, and qualify embedded designs for the SAM MCUs. MPLAB X IDE works seamlessly with the MPLAB development ecosystem of software and tools, many of which are completely free.
