Infineon Technologies EiceDRIVER™ Low Side Gate Driver ICs
Infineon EiceDRIVER™ Low Side Gate Driver ICs utilize low-voltage circuitry with the robust technology of high-voltage gate drivers and a state-of-the-art 0.13µm process. These Infineon fabrication techniques enable high-current gate drivers for high-power-density applications in industry-standard DSO-8, small form-factor SOT-23, and WSON packages. The drivers are comprehensive families of single-low-side and dual-low-side gate driver ICs with flexible options for output current, logic configurations, packages, and protection features. Protection features include under-voltage lockout (UVLO), integrated overcurrent protection (OCP), and truly differential inputs (TDI). These are also offered in automotive-qualified devices.The Infineon 1ED4417x Low-Side Gate Drivers are for ground-referenced gate-drive applications such as digitally controlled Power-Factor Correction (PFC) circuits requiring Overcurrent Protection (OCP). OCP is typically implemented using a current measurement circuit with a comparator such as LM293 and a network of resistors and capacitors. The 1ED4417x provides up to 20 percent cost and 50 percent space savings by integrating the OCP comparator, which features an accurate, current sensing threshold tolerance of ±5 percent. 1ED44176N01F also integrates fault output reporting to the controller and driver to enable functionality on the same pin.
